Street Dwellers (Homeless) Unit
The Unit offers professional and varied treatment for the population of street dwellers, who are excluded from a normative lifestyle. These are generally people without support networks, suffering from morbidity such as drug use, mental illness, and the like.
Locating street dwellers is through regular day and night patrols by a staff of social workers. During the patrol the workers offer shelter to the street dwellers, where they can lodge and receive a hot meal. If the street dweller refuses, they offer him food, hot drinks and equipment, and continue to monitor his condition.
In accordance with his willingness, abilities, and desire, the social worker accompanies the street dweller in the process of realizing his rights regarding the various services: National Insurance, the Ministry of Housing and the like, and constructs a suitable rehabilitation program for him.
