Property Tax (Arnona)
Property tax is a tax imposed by law on owners of buildings and land. The charge is levied once a year and covers the period from January 1 to December 31 of the same year.
According to the law, it is compulsory to pay the property tax on January 1 of each year (unless the municipal council has set a different date). Payment beyond 30 days from that date results in interest differentials under the Local Authorities (Compulsory Payments Interest Differences, 1980) Act.
