Procedures of the Conservation Unit in the Permit Track and in the Master Plan and NPA 38
The following are the procedures of the Conservation Unit in the permit track, in the master plan track and in the TMA 38 track:
- Preliminary contact to the Information Unit:
- Receipt of an explanation page about the Conservation Unit, its goals, procedures and ways of contact.
- Download a form and instructions for opening a file in the Conservation Unit.
- The preservation file must be opened with the secretary of the Preservation Department, during reception hours (Sundays and Tuesdays, from 8:30-12:30, building 9, store 4).
For the purpose of opening the file the following must be brought:
- Coloured accordion-fold plan (harmonica).
Note: Requirements of the Preservation Unit for all permits (beyond the usual requirements):
Section and facade of the building on the street and adjacent buildings at 1: 200
Facades at 1: 100 with details (old and new) that include: stone rows, references to details, indication of all elements for preservation, indication of all elements for removal or repair, indication of types of stone and finish, stone details at 1:10, details of openings, cornices, roofs.
- Color images separate from the accordion-fold plan (harmonica). The photos should be submitted on an A4 page printed lengthwise, not
- A form for opening a file in the Conservation Department signed by the applicant. To download the form - click here.
- Documentation file (if necessary according to the instructions file) and a copy of the documentation file on CD.

Notes:
In any application as part of the process of preparing a master plan, a preliminary documentation file must be prepared.
For the purpose of permitting the demolition of a building designated for conservation, a complete documentation file must be prepared. For instructions on how to prepare the file - click here.
At the discretion of the Conservation Department, a documentation file may be requested during the work process.
- The opening of a preservation file may only be carried out during reception hours, the completion of the instructions and the form for opening a file in the Conservation Department will be checked by the department secretary. A permit to open a file will be given.
- The file will be submitted for examination to a regional conservation reviewer and the conservation team department.
- A written notice will be sent to the requestor for notifications and requirements for amendments.
- If necessary, the file will be transferred to the Conservation Committee.
- The requestor or someone on his behalf will submit the amendments.
- The amendments will be approved by the reviewer after full compliance with the terms and conditions of the meeting.
- For the purpose of obtaining approval/opinion, three illustrated copies of the plans should be submitted. One copy of the plans will remain in the conservation file in the Conservation Department.
- Upon completion of the examination of the plan, the requestor will receive an approval form/opinion from the Conservation Department with a signed copy of the plans.
Note:
The Municipality will have the right to partial or full publication of the material received by the Conservation Department, including the documentation file, photographs, etc.
In the TMA 38 track:
- A TMA file should be opened in the City Planning Department.
- A file should be opened in the Department of Building Conservation.
Notes:
In TMA 38/2, a complete documentation file must be submitted.
In TMA 38/1, in the case of a building designated for conservation, a preliminary documentation file must be submitted.
In the master plan track:
- A file should be opened in the City Planning Department.
- A file should be opened in the Department of Building

Documents to be submitted: a blueprint, regulations, an appendix and a documentation file.
