In General:

The Dangerous Buildings Department is charged with enforcing Jerusalem By-Law (Dangerous Buildings), 1980, and provides the population with services related to the dangers that exist in buildings. The Dangerous Buildings Department team includes structural engineers who deal with the dangers arising from the different parts of the building or the building itself.

The Department does not deal with dangers arising from the faulty condition of electrical, water or sewage systems. In cases involving electrical systems, a private electrician should be contacted.

Visits by the Department’s engineers are free of charge.
