Enforcement Cameras
The Jerusalem Municipality operates advanced video-image-based enforcement systems in order to prevent serious parking offenses along the city's major roads. These are offenses that pose real risk to human lives, disrupt traffic, and endanger drivers on the road.

In addition, parking supervisors in enforcement vehicles are instructed to carry out enforcement along major roads and streets as well as serious parking offenses such as lane blocking, parking on sidewalks or crosswalks, parking on disabled parking spaces, in bus stations, double parking, and stopping in prohibited places. In addition, special emphasis is placed on ensuring the availability of parking for the disabled and reducing the number of vehicles stopping in proximity to the light rail stations and endangering passersby.
The goal of the project is to eliminate parking violations that create hazards and traffic jams and endanger pedestrians and drivers, as well as improving parking throughout the city.
Signs warning of increased enforcement have been posted near the stationary cameras. The parking offenses are recorded and tickets are sent to the residents' homes.
