- Distance of residence from the school (according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education - click here) is a necessary condition for eligibility
The minimum distance between the place of residence and the nearest educational institution that justifies participation in expenses according to the address on the ID card
- For students up to the 4th grade (inclusive) - from 2 km and above
- For students in the 5th grade and above - from 3 km and above
The measured distance is walking distance for pedestrians, without regard to the number of bus stops and/or vehicles.
Exceptional approvals will be given based on deviations of up to 200 meters in case of inaccuracy in the computerized system.
- The student must meet one of the following three criteria
- Social eligibility - the student must present a valid certificate from the Welfare Bureau regarding the degree of eligibility A / B, or a certificate of income guarantee provided by National Insurance or the Ministry of Education, or a certificate of income supplement, or a certificate that one parent receives a disability pension (at least 50 % disability percentage) from the National Insurance Institute because they are entitled to a social benefit.
- Recommendation of the principal - a written request from the institution's principal and/or advisor that enters the student's personal file. This criterion requires the approval of the Commissioner in the Education Administration and the recommendation of a principal, defined for 20% of all students eligible at the institution according to social eligibility.
- A family with at least four children (after meeting the distance criterion) will be able to receive participation without the need for social eligibility or the recommendation of the principal. 11th and 12th-grade students may join four students, but in practice, only 1st to 10th-grade students will receive the participation.
