What is Arnona?
Annual payment notices are distributed in January. The deadline for payments not incurring interest is at the end of January.
Arnona is a tax levied by law on holders of buildings and land. The charge is made annually, and relates to the period from January 1 to December 31 of that year. According to the stipulations of the law, the obligation to pay the municipal tax applies on January 1 every year (unless the city council determines otherwise). Payment after 30 days from the said date will incur interest and linkage differentials according to the Law of Local Authorities. The last date to pay the yearly bill is on January 31.
One must schedule an appointment in advance.
In any query, one must indicate a municipal tax account number as it appears on the Arnona statement.
The Arnona Tax was raised by 2.58% in 2019 in accordance with the State Economic Arrangement Law.
