Property Tax (Arnona)
Property tax is a tax imposed by law on owners of buildings and land. The charge is levied once a year and covers the period from January 1 to December 31 of the same year.
According to the law, it is compulsory to pay the property tax on January 1 of each year (unless the municipal council has set a different date). Payment beyond 30 days from that date results in interest differentials under the Local Authorities (Compulsory Payments Interest Differences, 1980) Act.
Starting in 2023, it will be possible to apply for a reduction until August 31.
Discount requests submitted after this date will be rejected and the resident will not receive a discount.
