Free Ride to the Old City
“Free Ride to the Old City” is a free shuttle transportation service that runs every day (excluding Saturdays) from The First Station in Jerusalem to the Old City. Go to The First Station, park your car at the all-day parking lot and enjoy a free ride to the Old City.
If you’re planning on visiting the Old City in Jerusalem and wondering about parking spaces, traffic, or navigating through the narrow streets inside the Old City – stop! Save yourself time, energy, money, and endless traffic jams and just take the “Free Ride to the Old City” instead.
Getting to and around the Old City can be a quite complicated task for those who are not familiar with all of the area’s hidden passages and narrow alleyways. The free shuttle service will take you from The First Station to the Old City’s most central sites and locations. The four main destinations include the Western Wall Plaza, Mount Zion sites, the Jewish Quarter, and the Old City Walls.

Western Wall Plaza:
Temple Mount, Western Wall, Western Wall Tunnels, The Chain of Generations Center, Archaeological Center & Davidson Park, Ophel Park.
Mount Zion and its sites:
David’s Tomb, Last Supper Cenacle, Dormition Abbey.
The Jewish Quarter:
Hurva Synagogue, Burnt House, Herodian Quarter/ Wohl Archaeology Museum, Cardo, Old Yishuv Court Museum, Ariel Center Museum, Four Sephardic Synagogues, Temple Institute.
Sites around the Walls:
City of David, Old City Walls Promenade, Zedekiah’s Cave, Roman Square, The Emek Tzurim Sifting Project, First Station.
Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 8:00-20:00.
Mondays and Thursdays: 7:00-20:00.
Fridays: 8:00 until 1 hour before Shabbat.
No service on Saturdays.
Shuttles run every 20 minutes from The First Station to the Old City.
Wheelchair-accessible shuttles run every hour on the hour.

PARKING YOUR CAR:
First, go to The First Station’s parking lot. If you are using “Waze”, search for “The First Station Parking Lot” or “Free Ride to the Old City”. If you are navigating by yourself, look for the wings symbol on direction signs – you will notice them right from the entrance to Jerusalem.
The parking lot at The First Station offers dozens of parking spaces. The regular daily parking fee is NIS 17.10, and the daily parking fee for “Yerushalmi” card holders is NIS 13.60. If you are using “Pango” or “Easypark”, type 02-07 for all-day parking. For “Yerushalmi” card holders, type 02-08.
