Security in the Capital is Being Increased

The Prime Minister's Office will allocate a dedicated budget to the Municipality to increase the personal security of the capital's residents

In response to the murderous terrorist attacks in Jerusalem, the Prime Minister's Office and the Municipality of Jerusalem have agreed on a joint plan to increase the sense of personal security of the capital's residents, including the strengthening of the security forces and police, the concentration of intelligence and operational efforts, and the improvement of civil protection, including the safeguarding of all bus stops in the city.

It was decided that the Prime Minister's Office and the Municipality of Jerusalem will immediately begin safeguarding 300 top priority bus stops, which are not safeguarded today. For this purpose, the Prime Minister's Office will immediately allocate a dedicated budget to the Municipality. In the next stage, the Municipality will continue to safeguard the rest of the bus stops in the capital, about 700 in number. For this purpose, the Prime Minister's Office will transfer an additional dedicated budget to the Municipality.
