Open your umbrellas; summer has arrived! Jerusalem's umbrella project returns to the alleys of Yoel Moshe Solomon
A thousand umbrellas hang 7 meters above the ground, from the "Cat Square" to the Hamashbir building.
According to the plan, the umbrellas will remain until the end of the Sukkot holiday.
Due to a return to routine, the municipality brought forward the deployment date of the project,
The project, which returns color to the city streets, was planned to begin late May but was expedited in order to encourage traffic for the businesses and prepare for tourists.
The project is maintained by "Siddhartha" Company and is promoted by "Eden" Company, which work to develop the city center.
The Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon:
"Upon returning to routine, we are returning the traditional umbrellas to the streets of Jerusalem. This stunning venture will add color to the public space, along with other activities and events planned for this coming summer for the benefit of business owners, city residents and visitors."
