Street Signs Have Been Placed in the Mahane Yehuda Market
Arba’at Haminim Street – corner of Hatut Street: the Jerusalem Municipality is renovating the face of the Mahane Yehuda Market, and this week street signs were put up throughout the market.
For many years, visitors to the Mahane Yehuda Market found it difficult to locate stores due to the lack of street signs within the market complex. This also bothered many merchants, who asked the Merchant’s Committee to address the issue.
Following a request on the matter from the committee’s chairman, Tali Friedman, to Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion, the Mayor instructed the Municipality’s City Improvement Division to handle the issue. Yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, September 30), signs bearing the street names were put up, including Arba’at Haminim Street, Hatut Street and Hatapuach Street.
