A word from the Mayor

משה ליאון

Dear residents of Jerusalem,

During this complex and challenging year, the momentum of activity in the city has continued, to make Jerusalem the leading city in Israel.

We have set ourselves a number of key goals with a common denominator: to ensure that our Jerusalem is greener, more advanced, more accessible and more service-oriented to its residents

In the field of infrastructure, we will continue to work to upgrade the light rail, we will continue to invest in road infrastructure and expand the scope of bicycle paths in the city.

We will continue to allocate unprecedented resources and attention to education at all levels, and we will act in a spirit that encourages the pursuit of excellence and ensures that every child is given the opportunity to develop in the education system according to his needs and skills despite the challenges.

We are working on housing revolutions and urban renewal in all parts of the city.

Strengthening the Jerusalem economy and establishing it as a city that is home to high-tech, biotech and science industries are also among our main goals.

With the long-awaited return of the blessed routine to all of our lives, we will work to strengthen the cultural, artistic and  sporting activities in the city - these events are lacking in the past year, but we will return soon.

I promise that in the coming year we will continue to work around the clock with a commitment to ensure you, residents of the city, a  city that serves you well and is a source of pride and identity for you.

Sincerely yours,

Moshe Lion,

Mayor of Jerusalem
