The Local Planning and Building Committee approved at its last meeting the granting of validity to three plans for "evacuation of construction" in the Kiryat Yovel neighborhood of Jerusalem:
1. Tehn Street 6-18: a program initiated by the Jerusalem Municipality and managed by Moriah. The plan was promoted on the track of the local authorities of the Ministry of Construction and Housing. As part of this plan, 59 existing apartments will be demolished and 255 new housing units will be built. Along with the development of a central avenue, the addition of commerce and the expansion of the street to a future crossing of the light line of the light rail. In total, there is an addition of 196 housing units. The architect of the program is Inbal Peled.
2. Stern Street 29-33: A private initiative of the "Kedmat Hayovel" company. The plan proposes the demolition of three housing units with 102 housing units, and the construction of 320 new housing units in three towers. In total, there is an addition of 218 housing units.
3. Stern Street 34-42: A private initiative of the "Kedmat Hayovel" company. The plan proposes the demolition of five buildings, including 67 new housing units, and the construction of 240 residential units in buildings with an elevation of 11-19 floors, alongside improved public space. Total number of units is 173 units.
