Car2Go was chosen to create a communal car system in Jerusalem, as part of a tender that we released for a communal car system that will provide a solution for city residents and visitors.
In its initial stage, the service will include a minimum of 17 regularly active cars, an additional 18 active cars will be added to the communal car service at the second stage. The system will enable car rental for customers who require occasional access to vehicles, for short and long periods of time – within the city or from the city to other areas. In addition, parking spaces will be designated for customers using these cars.
The communal car service joins the transportation revolution in Jerusalem, which is the most advanced in the country. This includes the International Center of Autonomous Vehicles led by Mobileye, the light-rail lines, an express train to the center of Israel, a cable car for tourists in the old city, and more.
