You are given the chance to forge friendships and contacts which will last your entire career.<br> <br> Rarely, do you, as a young agent have the chance to exchange ideas and information about your authors and books with such a broad range of international contemporaries in an atmosphere which fosters dynamic discourse over an extended period of time.<br> <br> The Book Fair also allows you to visit and get to know a city that is at the heart of the Judeo-Christian culture, literature, and history. Whether or not you ve been to Israel before, the time you spend exploring Jerusalem and its environs with your international colleagues will be instructive, inspiring, and invigorating. Your week in Israel will give you the chance to escape from the day-to-day pressures of publishing while taking part in a program that boasts numerous rewards: book ideas, new colleagues with whom to share books, a better understanding and knowledge of world literature and publishing, and a chance to visit some of the highlights of Jerusalem as part of your extraordinary week in this extraordinary city. At recent fairs, the Fellows have toured Masada, Jerusalem s famed Old City, Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and have bathed in the Dead Sea. Submit an application, resume, recent photo, one letter of recommendation, and one letter from your publisher agreeing to sponsor you. The Book Fair provides the Agent Fellows with seven nights hotel accommodations beginning two days prior to the opening of the Book Fair. It is the participant's responsibility to cover travel expenses and daily out-of-pocket expenses.
